Is it possible to create subcategory having the same name being assigned to different category?

Just to be clear what I mean.

- Italy (alias italy) - category
- cities (alias cities) - subcategory of italy

- Spain (alias spain) - category
- cities (alias cities) - subcategory of spain

Do I have to use different alias for categories "cities" or is it ok since they are subcategory of different parent category?
