It seems to me that the e wallet poses a big security risk. If a third party eg a hacker, were to gain administrator access then they could change all the account e wallet paypal addresses and drain all the funds. I've seen plenty of hacked joomla sites.
Is this a legitimate concern or am i maybe just not understanding the system correctly?

Well.. this is e-wallet of sellacious and is not linked to PayPal or any other payment gateway.
a bruit hack can only take away internal funds, but why will someone do that? also, you can always use sucuri anti hacker for the same which helps to reduce the majority of attacks.
