HI, if you want to disable manage stock for complete marketplace "use global settings" in global stock management and "Check Stock in Front-end" is by default off.

I am sorry I was not clear in the previous message.
I tried using the Global setting and by Category and no matter if I set check Stock OFF it always discount each sale until the product get Out Of Stock.

These are the scenarios I tried and the result:
1) Global Config -> Stock Management -> Check Stock in Front-end = OFF, Stock Management = Use Global Settings
a. In Product Catalog all the product show Stock
b. The Inventory is reduced with each sale
2) Global Config -> Stock Management -> Check Stock in Front-end = ON, Stock Management = Use Category Settings
a. Category XXX -> Stock Management -> Stock Management = Use Category Settings, Check Stock in Front-end = NO
b. In Product Catalog all the product show Stock
c. The Inventory is reduced with each sale
3) Global Config -> Stock Management -> Check Stock in Front-end = ON, Stock Management = Use Individual Product Settings
a. Product XXX -> Inventory -> Manage Stock = OFF
b. In Product Catalog all the product show In Stock= Infinite
c. The Inventory is NOT reduced with each sale

So, the only way I could disable the Stock Management is BY PRODUCT.

What is the complete setting to disable it Globally ? Stock Management switch in Global Config does not seem to work.

Hi, option to set unlimited stock(manage stock- no) is only given at product level because its not usual that a shop has all the products in unlimited amount.
If you want that option for your shop we can custom develop it for you.

Note: Check stock in frontend allows users not to place order on out of stock items.

Thank you for the new reply. This one invalidates previous reply and also invalidates documentation. The 3 options for stock management control are described in detail in the Sellacious documentation.
If you are going to fix the bug, it would be better if you remove the option switches from Global Settings and Category settings.

Regarding the stock management in a marketplace, it should be very usual that the stores sell via the marketplace and other channels, like the physicals store. So controlling stock of multiple channels could not be done from only one of them.

BTW, how long to get the beta 4 version ? I still need other fixes promised fro that version.

Both the things are valid,

Stock Management-> use global settings- means we do not need manage stock options in category and product edit( this will not set unlimited stock)

Manage Stock-> disabled in product edit- it will set unlimited product stock( which for now can only done in individual product)

We accept the complexity of UI options and documentation, we will simplify it asap.

Also i will conway the necessity of "unlimited product stock config" in category and in global to the tech team which maybe integrated in next versions. As far as next beta version is concerned it may take one or two months.

The GLOBAL switch "[Check Stock in the front end" seems to be since at least version beta1+. And according to the doc, it shoudl dissabel stock checking

I have no issue with the documentation UI. I find it very complete. It just documents features that do not work. Like Category banners...

Yes, it does but if the config is otherwise in category it will be overridden.

Category banner bug, we are aware of that it is in pipeline and will be fixed in next version.
