Hi,
after i had an exchange with the online support i was asked to report my issue here.

In backend i get the same error everytime i try to make changes in shop section or setting section :
Error 403!

/sellacious/index.php?option=com_sellacious&view=config

Forbidden!

ok, thanks for information
Best regards
I cannot find any files (not in Joomla or Sellacious) any more which has wrong permission. All folders are on 755 and files 0n 644. How can a complete reinstall change anything? Why do other components we test work fine?

My next thought is the following : Once the site completely set up, and there will be problems with the shop ... will i then have again to start from the beginning ?

Hi Thomas,

I completely understand your issue. I saw a lot of files in components folder to be chmod as 640 instead of 644. I can't connect to your FTP at the moment, so can't provide you a valid reference.

This is indeed an issue with misconfiguration and can be solved by re-installing Joomla with correct permissions. If you want, You can also test Sellacious on localserver or https://www.cloudaccess.net/joomla/free-hosting.html.

Sellacious team is committed to solve all the issues faced by users. Be rest assured, You wouldn't have to start from beginning. This is just a one-time process.

Thanks,

Hi Thomas,

I would request you to kindly install a fresh Joomla and try Sellacious. I see the default permissions of your files in the server is 640 instead of 644 which makes the files unreadable by public.

I am sure that once a Joomla with fresh installation is in place, there wouldn't be any problem.

Thanks,

i from my side cannot confirm your image. All permissions from the folder you mention components/com-sellacious were set right. Only the files in administrator/components/com_sellacious folder were wrong. I changed them, but still no change in error message.

Yes, Because I changed the permissions from FileZilla

Hi Thomas,

As i can see, The permissions are still incorrect in components/com_sellacious/. Please see this image:
Screenie

The correct permissions of files should be 644 and 755 for folders. I would request you to kindly fix the permissions. I am sure that this will fix the error.

PS: You might need to do the same for administrator/components/com_sellacious folder.

Please let us know if it solves the issue. We'll be happy to assist you further.

Thanks,

Hy,
all permissions "changed" (I could not find any with wrong permissions within those i checked randomly) ... no change in error message
Hi Thomas,

We are still waiting to hear back from you regarding this issue. Please let us know if any further assistance is needed.
Hi Thomas,

I found that the permissions given to components are 640 instead of the advised permission. Could you please chmod the folder permissions to 755 and files permissions to 644? It will definitely get the Sellacious working for you.

Thanks,
Ankit A.

via forum ?
Hi Thomas,

Thanks for taking your time to try Sellacious.
At first glance, It seems that the issue is due to some permissions. It might be your server or configuration that is not letting Sellacious config file to run properly.

Could you please provide us the FTP access to your server, so that we can have a look?

Thanks,
Ankit A.
